But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” 61 Yet another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say farewell to those at my home.” 62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:57) 2 Jesus is working to advance His kingdom. Acts 2 Reminds Us of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ Acts 2:29 “Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, 31 he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses. 33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing 3 Jesus has clothed us with His power. 4 Jesus has given us the same purpose. 5 The world is our goal. 6 The Word is our guarantee. 7 The Spirit is here. 8 The stakes are high. 9 The glory of Christ leaves us no other option. 10 The coming of Christ leaves us with eager anticipation. Jesus is worthy of absolute surrender. Jesus is working to advance His kingdom. Jesus has clothed us with His power. Jesus has given us the same purpose. The world is our goal.
