How Do We See?

Purpose Statement: This is the only Gospel reading this way: In vs. 21. “The lamp shall come.” It’s a definite lamp. What does a light do? Are we convicted by the Spirit of God to do something? Everyone who hears has a responsibility to nurture their spiritual perception. The message is that Christ is the lamp, the light of the world. And we have responsibilities. How are we living according to the light of Christ in our thoughts and motives? Will our motives be revealed? The most important work is the Gospel work as ambassadors for Christ. How do we take the light of Christ to a world that doesn’t see Christ clearly? Are we on or off Christians?
