Hall explores how we tend to attach ourselves to simplistic ideas that we think help us make sense of life. But cliches let us down. Why settle for cliches when we God offers us his timeless truth? When something awful happens, many people say, “Everything happens for a reason.” But is that true? Is it comforting? The lesson this week explores Jesus’ response to two ancient tragedies, one an atrocity committed by the Romans and one a natural disaster.
