Episode 32 - "The Living Word: Pre-Reformation Part I"
Series: "The Living Word"
January 21, 2025
Jason Broadus
Continuing in the ongoing series, “The Living Word,” in this episode, we explore church history, focusing on the development of the biblical canon and the early creeds that shaped Christian doctrine. From the Rule of Faith and the Apostles’ Creed to the criteria for determining the inspired Word of God, we explore how the Church, guided by the Holy Spirit, preserved the Gospel message through the centuries. Through trials, debates, and the influence of culture, the Holy Spirit ensured that the message of salvation in Jesus Christ remained central and unshaken. The work of early Church leaders serves as a testament to the importance of studying Scripture with care, maintaining sound doctrine, and trusting in God’s providence.
