Series: Becoming A Healthy Leader

Brett Cooper
Being an honest person will invite conflict because you are required to tell the truth. This podcast will help you understand what it feels like when you’re telling the truth.
Episode Notes
“He who speaks truth tells what is right, But a false witness, deceit. There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, But the tongue of the wise brings healing. Truthful lips will be established forever, But a lying tongue is only for a moment. Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, But counselors of peace have joy. No harm befalls the righteous, But the wicked are filled with trouble. Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal faithfully are His delight.”
Proverbs 12:17-22 NASB1995
4 ways it feels when you’re telling the truth.
T.R.U.E.
#1. Tuff because you have to do more than react. You have to respond with researched facts. You have to do more than feel, you have to think.
#2. Redemptive because God’s truth is uplifting and unconditional. Are you qualified to confront someone with hard facts when you stop saying what you want and start wanting what God says.
#3. Uncomfortable because real conflicts feels embarrassing and can be exhausting.
#4. Escape like because you are being freed up from bitterness.
